The bay of Islands! and the Grey Lynn Festival!

Thursday Anna and I drove to the Northern part of the Island to the Bay of Islands. We arrived and decided to find a place to stay. We ended up getting a room at a back packer place that was really nice and only 60 dollars for the both of us.

Our Room.

After we got our room we went for an adventure and ended up kayaking it was super fun but because we weren't prepared we got soaked hahhaha so the picture below is of all of our clothes hung up around the room to dry. It takes ages for things to dry in NZ by the way!

Me, Thursday night after Anna and I had dinner in Bay of Islands.

Friday we went to Russell and looked at all the historical crap.

Russell is a really small cute town we enjoyed a cup of coffee and the sunny weather.

We took a ferry to Russell from Paihia the Bay of Islands.

on our way home we took the long way and drove to Keri Keri and had lunch then to Opononi and down the west coast.

Sand dunes in Opononi the west side of the very north part of the Island.

The biggest tree in NZ!

Saturday Afternoon a group of us went to the Grey Lynn Festival where they had bands, booths with food, and all kinds of people eating and drinking and enjoying the sun. We brought our own premade drinks and didn't really eat a lot of food so everyone ended up pretty drunk. After the festival we all went to a house party and took a cab home barely anyone remembers what happened! hahahhah
