Here are a few outfits that I have worn to work in the last few days.
I am starting to realize I need some more clothes lol.

My outifts are getting very repetitive.

Remember when I could not find curtains I like?
Well I found some red ones at Target for $8.00 and thought why not.
Well... they are ok, and because they were so cheap I will keep them untill I find something better or until I can some how pull the whole room together with some art.

Now that we are all settled in our new place we are having a hard time finding things.
For instance tonight Grant asked me where a certain tube of paint is and I can not seem to find it anywhere.
It takes a long time to realize where you put things away! I hope we find it.

Beach Bikers

Sunday we went to the beach and biked.
About 5 minutes into the bike ride Grant got a flat tire!  Imagine that...
I think that would be our 3rd flat tire of this year. The annoying thing is, with everything we do, there seems to be some sort of glitch.  The good thing was he was able to take off and ride up to a local bike shop and get a new inter tube.  It was the perfect day for riding bikes, warm and sunny with a cool breeze.

I have a feeling we will be spending quite a few weekends bike riding.

I forgot how fun it is to ride...

On Thursday we had some visitors.
My friends Kelly and Cathy came over to see our new place and have dinner.
We ended up walking to Gabbi's in the Orange circle.  To be honest none of us were impressed!
The drinks were good, but our food took forever to come out and it was COLD!  Also it seemed over priced for what the food tasted like and the portion size was on the small side.  Lets just say we won't be going back.

Here is a short video clip my mom put together of our place.
Right now we are are off to ride our new bikes.

Today we got bikes!!!
I didn't think I would be that excited, but I am.  I have really only had one bike my whole life back from when I was 7 or 8 years old and when I out grew that bike I used my mom's bike.
So this is really my first bike as an adult.

After we got our bikes we rode them to a near by bike store to buy some bells and an air pump.

Our plan for tomorrow... ride bikes!

Short Week

I am so happy its a short week because I am really tired still!
I think I am still recovering from all the traveling this weekend.
Here is what I wore the day we flew to Austin.
I love vacations because I really have to spend time putting outfits together and it shows.
When I wake up and throw something on for work it never looks good lol.

In downtown Austin they have silver water hydrants, pretty cool.

Austin TX

This weekend we went to Austin for a mini vacation.
We arrived in Austin at 5:30pm and we took the bus from the airport to our hotel in downtown.
Shortly after we arrived at the hotel it was time to meet Andrea and her family for dinner at a local Mexican food place.  We were planning on taking a taxi because it was raining, but the wait for a taxi would have been 30 plus minutes so we decided to walk in the rain.
We had already walked from the bus to the hotel in the rain and it wasn't too bad, although our luggage was soaked!

The sign above me says rain so we thought it would be cool to get a photo.
Dinner was great and it was so good to see Andrea and her big pregnant belly!

Saturday we work up around 9am which would have been 7am in CA, so early if you take the time change into consideration.  We walked to a cafe that was close to the hotel for breakfast.  The coffee was so good there that we went back the next day for another one.

Here I am in front of the cafe.

After breakfast we took a stroll down 6th street to get an idea of where everything was.

At 2pm it was time for Andrea's baby shower, which was the whole point of the trip.

We all made her some scrap book pages so all she has to do is print out the pictures and glue them in!

Andrea and Rich after the shower was over.

Diana(Andrea's sister) Andrea and me

After the shower we went back to Andrea's house for a glass of wine and some chit chat.

Saturday night on 6th street they were celebrating Mardi Gras so the whole street was shut down and everyone was partying.  We ended up going to a few bars, but called it a night around 1am.

Sunday morning we went for a walk to see where we might have been catching the bus back to the airport in the afternoon, but luckily Rich said he could just take us to the airport after we all went out to lunch one last time.
Oh yeah, it was also the Austin marathon Sunday morning lol.

This is a historic house in down town.

We had an excellent time visiting and seeing Austin, I can't wait till we get to go back and meet the baby!

Wedding Portrait

After our wedding I asked my wedding planner Katherine for a picture of her and Magno from their wedding so I could do a drawing of them.  Last weekend I was able to give Katherine the drawing and she featured it on her blog and on her wedding blog.
It looks really good the way she framed the drawing.

Check out the wedding blog Katherine writes (where I am featured) over at the Southern California Bridal District.

Happy Friday!

Valentine's Day

Today is Valentine's Day and to be honest if I hadn't gone to work and saw everyone giving out candy and notes it would have been just like every other day lol.
Grant and I didn't do anything special, he handed me a dandy lion that was growing on the driveway and said I should make a wish hahhaha.
This is what I wore to work today, I tried to wear red but I don't own one item that is red or pink!
Here is a picture of the drawing that I finally finished this last weekend.  It feels like this drawing took extra long because I kept having to stop for moving and working.  So it feels really good to be done.

I am having an on going dilemma regarding the curtains in our bedroom!
The walls are painted a sort of natural grey/brown/green earth color and the colors I want in the room are teal, white, black, and silver.  I tried striped curtains at first and they were too dark and the stripe through off all the other patterns in the room.  So I thought white would be good, but I feel like it looks boring and sort of like I just threw a sheet on my wall!
I don't know what to do???
Second set of curtains.

First set of curtains.

What should I do?
