Summer is Here

Summer is here and we are making the most of it!
We have been to the pool a few times already and we are getting out of the house most days.

Its seems like there is always so much going on, but I don't necessarily feel like sitting down and writing about it.  Emmett is now 16 months old.  He is obsessed with clocks.  He can spot a clock from a mile away.  His main food groups is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and apple sauce.

He is not really into cuddling and I guess he never has been, but especially now he just wants to go go go...

The End of Full-Bore

My Grandpa Roy has decided that he can no longer run the Full- Bore business.  Its pretty amazing that he has been able to run a very successful business at the age of 80!  Most people stop working and retire way before 80 years old.  He is such brilliant engineer and business man that everyone keeps asking him, what are you going to do now?

My mom and I have been helping him close down his shop and clean everything out.  Its an amazing amount of work.

We will all miss Full-Bore, but its time to move on to more relaxing things.

Keeping Busy

As we head into summer and as Emmett is getting older we are able to really keep busy doing lots of fun things.  Its now fun to go to parks because he can actually run around and enjoy it.

Last week we met up with some other moms at a local park and all the kids ran around.  He is still at the age where interacting with other kids doesn't really happen.

Last Saturday we met up with Danielle and her super cute daughters for lunch at TGI Fridays.
After lunch we decided to find a near by park to let the kids run around a little.
It was so great to see them.

 The swings are a favorite!

We all dressed a little too warm.  It ended up being a super hot day.

Sunday I met my mom at the Angel Stadium for the Vision Walk with some of our friends.
I am so happy we went because it was a ton of fun and a beautiful day.

 waaaaaa! I am tired!

Tuesday Emmett and I met some friends for lunch at Pavion park.

This park is new!  They have a music station and all kinds of really cool toys to play on.  There is even a zip line for bigger kids.  The only draw back is there is no shade over the actual play area.  The day we went ended up being about 100 degrees and 100 percent humidity and we were all dying from heat, we are not use to that kind of humidity.  Next time we go I think we need to get there really really early and end with lunch.

Sooo like I said we are keeping really really busy!

Irvine Zoo

Way back on May 30th we all went to the zoo.  Its a little local zoo with animals from around the area that have been rescued.  It turned out to be a really warm summery day, perfect for the zoo and park.

After a fun day of seeing the animals we all headed back to our place and Hazel and Emmett played in the water.

This donkey had something interesting happening!  I jokingly said 3 legs, but then I realized that duh animals have 4 legs hahhaha so it was more like 5 legs.  At least we kept ourselves entertained.

 So big!

Here are the kids playing at the water table.  Yes that is a painted on top Hazel has lol.
Emmett was more interested in seeing how much water he could drink rather than splash and play lol.
