Whats Happening in March

We have been pretty busy in March.  We replaced all of our front windows!  It feels like this project is taking forever, but really its only been 2 weekends.  I guess because my whole house has been ripped up and everything is all crazy looking it makes it feel like forever.  I don't know how people live through huge renovations.  As soon as we are done I will put up some before and after pictures.

Here is Grant and Emmett playing.  Emmett constantly says play cars, what he means is get on the floor and start playing with something while I will walk away and do something else LOL.

Here we are attempting to fly a kite with no wind.  It ended up being me running with the kite.  Some random dad yelled at me Run MOM Run LOL.
Here are our terrible windows before the process started.

We attempted to visit the Easter bunny, but turned out they had some weird stuffed bunny that you could pose with .  Umm I am not paying 20 to 40 dollars to take a picture of Emmett next to a stuffed rabbit, I can do that at home!

We did go on a ride on the carousal.

 Happy March.

Easter Sunday

For Easter Sunday we went up to my parents house and spent the night.  We got there Saturday and had dinner and Sunday morning we were up for the neighborhood breakfast party.  First thing in the morning Emmett and Grant opened their Easter baskets.  Around noon Lacey and her family came over for sandwiches.  We had a small Easter egg hunt in the house for the kids and when the wind picked up we headed down to the park to fly kites.  We had to all be gone by 5 pm because my mom was taking my dad to the airport for his big NZ fishing adventure.

I got the kids pez dispensers and Emmett got a hold of Hazel's pez bunny and was slowly eating them.  I would take it away and the next thing I know he has it again LOL He ate a whole row of them and then thought he should throw away the dispenser.  Luckily we got it right before it was headed for the trash.

This is the best picture of the kids! They are all smiling!

Easter Eggs!

This was the first year Emmett could help me dye Easter Eggs!  I always loved doing this as a kid so it was fun to show him how to do it and have him "help" me.  Turns out two year olds have a 2 to 3 minute attention span LOL.  He enjoyed watching the colors being mixed and dropping the eggs in, but after that he was over it.

We are ready to share our eggs with all our friends at Easter brunch.

Easter Egg Hunt

At school on Tuesday we met at the park and had our Easter Egg hunt.  We each brought 12 eggs and stuffed them with something fun (not candy) and each kid got to hunt for 12 eggs.  The good thing about this is you can take your time collecting your eggs because you know that there will be some there for each kid.  Luckily the night before we practiced at home hunting for eggs so Emmett was ready to run and get as many as possible.  Everyone better watch out on Easter morning!

He loved opening them and seeing all the surprises.

Mama at 2 and Emmett at 2

When Emmett turned 2 I thought it would be fun to see what I looked like at 2.  So my mom and I searched high and low and found the book of pictures from when I was 2 years old.  Its funny to see that we not only look at lot alike but we are doing a lot of the same things in the pictures.  Playing with similar toys and making similar faces.

Emmett loves to push the grocery carts and strollers around with food in them at school.
I had to share this one of me and my grandma at Disneyland because there is literally no one there.  My mom said we lived close and had passes back then that were something like 20 dollars a year and on a week day there was barely anyone ever there. Imagine that!
