Family

For the last 10 days we have had Grant's dad Dave and his partner Teresa visiting with us.  It was hard to say goodbye when they left last night because we had such a great time and we will really miss them.  Grant loved being able to visit with his dad and catch up and we really enjoyed having them here.  The time flew by, it feels like they just got here.  Emmett said "it was the most fun!"

We did a few day trips around locally, but best of all was just catching up and letting them spend time with the kids.  We went to San Juan Capistrano, Irvine zoo, Orange circle, La Verne, and they took a few trips down to the beach.  They brought the Auckland rain with them, it rained about half the time they were here!

 They arrived in the rain!

A special gift from Grandad to Emmett.  He made this roadster from wood for Emmett.

Grandad and Teresa took Emmett on a train ride.

On Dave's birthday we walked around the Orange Circle and we went out to dinner to Famous Dave's BBQ

The best part was having Dave and Teresa see how we live and having them share in our daily routine.  Grandad read books to Emmett at night.

This was right before the bus came to get them.  Again it was pouring rain when they left.

Brothers

I know everyone seems to say how different Calvin and Emmett look from each other.  Of course they look different because they are different people, but I always see how much they look alike for some reason.  Here are some pictures comparing the two of them at 3 months.  To me they look so much alike at times.  I will sometimes look at Calvin and have a flash back to when Emmett was a baby.

Calvin on the left and Emmett on the right.
The crazy thing is I took their 3 month picture on the same blanket and had no idea until I looked up Emmett's old photos.

Pismo New Years Trip

For New Years we went to Pismo Beach.  We went up the day before New Years Eve and stayed till the day after new years day.  It is always fun to get away and have a change of scenery.

The day we arrived we unpacked, hung out and ordered some pizza.  Everyone came to hang out in our room after dinner.  New Years Eve we had a huge Bonfire on the beach and on New Years day we all went out to dinner to Jokos.

The last day we were there we went off roading in my grandpa's jeep.  Really it wasn't off roading. but more like driving on the beach.

Calvin - 3 Months Old

Calvin is 3 months old! How is time moving so fast?  I feel like I was just pregnant!
He is doing great in my book.  He has just slipped right into our family like he was always meant to be here.  He wakes up when we all do and he goes to sleep when Emmett does, its like he just picked up on our schedule and said ok sounds good.

We all call him the smiley guy because if you look at him and make eye contact he will usually give you a big smile!

He has just recently started sleeping through the night (once in a while waking up once to eat).
He rolled over for the first time yesterday from his stomach to his back!

He has such a calm personality, he only cries for 3 things; hungry, tired, or wants to be entertained.
